People of Temal Kabhre have participated at the NAMDUNG NGHYA fiesta, Temal Jatra also known as Bouddha Jatra at Bouddhanath Kathmandu. It is celebrated at Chaitra Shukla Chaturdashi mostly by Tamang community. According to the Tamangs of Temal NAMDUNG NGHYA is one of the biggest festivals after Sonam Lhosar. They light up on the name of their late family members at Bouddha. On the first day of this festival they light up at Bouddha and goes to Swayambhunath after taking holy bat at Balaju Baisdhara on full moon day. The fiesta ends after praying at Swayambhunath. This festival started from Temal but Buddhist people from across the nation started to celebrate.
