Pioneer singer of Radio Nepal, senior theater artist/director and first Nepalese film actor he is none other Hari Prasad Rimal. Kamana publication has organized a CG Kamana award on its 30th anniversary where Mr. Rimal was honored by life time achievement award.
Born and brought up in Lagantol Kathmandau Rimal has lent his voice in song like “fagat ek najarma” “mero dil tukra banera ekdin aakhako bato bahanechha”etc. He has directed more than five hundred audio and video dramas some of them are “muna madan”, “sarpaka pailaharu”, “masaan”. He has acted in more than fifty theater dramas.
Rimal is featured in movies like “aama”, “sindoor”, “k ghar k dera” etc. He was born in 1982 B.S. as sixth child to his parents. Rimal married to famous news reader of Radio Nepal Kalyani Rimal. When he came to receive life time achievement award at CG Kamana award his wife Kalyani was supporting him with love and care.
