THIRD GENDER PARADE ON GAI JATRA
Gaijatra is the festival of cow. This festival is celebrated in remembrance of died people in Newar community. Men are dressed like woman in this festival to make comedy. So the third gender people grab this opportunity and carried out a parade from Thamel to Basantapur. Third genders has been participating in Gai Jatra from many years. Third genders from all over the nation were gathered at Kathmandu for Gai Jatra like previous years.
