Born and brought up at Arughat in Gorkha district photo journalist Purnima Shrestha is the first Nepali journalist to step on Mt. Everest. She ascend Mt. Everest on 19th may 2018 at 8:10 am. Shrestha held solo photo exhibition themed ‘Smiling Nepali Women’. 26 year old Shrestha has also climbed 8,163 meters Mt. Manaslu on 26th September 2017. Each Mountain is different and being born in the country of Himalayas every Nepali must experience climbing up to 6 thousand meters.
