Dashain is the most anticipated and longest festival of the year celebrated by the Hindus of Nepal or Nepalese origin all over the world. Dashain is celebrated for almost fifteen days in the month of October. The main day is called “Dashami” or “Vijaya Dashami”. On this main day, the seniors put Tika and Jamara giving blessings to their younger ones.
Dashain is also an occasion for all the members of the families to meet each other and enjoy varieties of food, playing cards, flying kites and many more.
