Dreadful earthquake didn’t spare historical Gorkha palace (Gorkha Durbar) too. A historical palace where 11 generation of Shah has ruled is devasted by earthquake happened on 25th April, 2015. Gorkha Palace is the place where founder of modern Nepal King Prithvi Narayan Shah was born and brought up. There was famous temple of Goddes Kalika and Guru Gorakhnath in palace’s permises. All of them are destroyed badly. Due to the distruction of Gorkha Durbar devotees are not allowed to enter inside its premises for prayer.
