“Jokhana” is dramatization of a story by Biyash Rai from his story collection “Hiumajhi”. It is a story about a woman who lost her husband from the village during the 10 year world-war and how she had to face her destiny. The play, based on a rich culture of Eastern Rai community, is currently being staged at Mandala Theatre, Anamnagar, in the capital. Directed by Kiran Chamling Rai and drama transformed by Rajan Mukarung.

The play brings together a total of 11 artists ( Sangita Thapa, Rupesh Lama, Sanjib Rai, Manahang Lawati, Anil Subba, Pabitra Rai, Nisha Pakhrin, Kabi Rai, Sudarshan Chhetri, Diwan Rasaili, Mani k. Rai ). The play is currently being staged at Mandala Theatre, Anamnagar everyday at 5:15 pm (except Mondays) and will continue till 8th of Baisakh. There will also be a matinee show on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
