Khagendra Lamichhane is an award winning Nepali author, actor, drama director who is active in Nepali theatre since 1999. As an author, actor and director, he has participated in National and International Theatre Festivals. His recent solo one act play, Peeda Geet is a portrayal of a man named Dal Bahadur who lost his family and relatives in an armed conflict. He then enters an unfamiliar city where he struggles a lot for his survival there. Peeda Geet is written and directed by Khagendra for the first time and is also played by himself. Peeda Geet was first premiered on 2064 B.S.at the Gurukul Theatre’s National Theatre Festival. Likewise, the same play was also performed in Thailand at the Pathumthani International Theatre Festival in 2009 and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland in the same year. Peeda Geet is playing all by Khagendra himself at Theatre Village, Lazimpat. Lamichhane made his debut in Nepali film industry with Manoj Pandit’s Badhshala. And he appeared in Nischal Basnet’s Talakjung Vs.Tulke in a leading role in 2014.
