Seto Machhindranath’s chariot festival was kicked off from Friday. Chariot was pulled by more than hundreds of devotees around certain part of Kathmandu such as Jamal, Asan. Seto Machindranath jatra is celebrated to make god of rain happy. Locals believe that by worshiping Seto Machhindranath one will have good luck, health, long life and propesrity. It is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Kathmandu by Newar community. Procession will be end at 17th of Chaitra.
