Vibrant singer Nikhita Thapa
Nikhita Thapa is a very talented new artist in Nepalese music industry. Nikhita is already nominated in Image Awards 2014 in the category of ‘Best New Artist of the year’. “ma ta timro naphape ko manche “ is the song that was nominated for award. Song was taken from the album ‘SATYATA-2’ by Gobind Prasad Upadyay. Born and raised up in India Nikhita started to sing at very tender age of 3 ½ year.
She has lived in metro cities as also in the remotest of places in India with her family. After seeing her vibrant enthusiasm in music her parents and all the family members always encouraged her to get involve in music. She has taken formal vocal training from various music teachers. After seven years of formal training she completed her VISHARAD and also graduated in commerce from HR College of Commerce and Economics, with distinction in both. Nikhita has taken part in various singing competition and won the title.
On one of her visits to her relatives in Kathmandu, Nepal, she came across Music composer Rajan Ishan who gave her an opportunity to render her voice for the female vocal of the song ‘Jatichan’ (movie 3 lovers) lyrics – Kishor Thapa. The experience gave her an opportunity to come in close contact with Nepali music and she made up her mind to start her musical career from the Nepali music industry. After a full one and a half years of immense hardwork by the entire team, consisting of well known people in the industry, the album “NIKHITA” finally came into being. And was launched by the most senior and respected artists from the industry on the 5th of Sept 2014. Her new music videos are on pipeline. This will hit the market soon.
नेपाली चलचित्र क्षेत्रका दिग्गज निर्देशक तुलसी घिमिरे को बहुप्रतीक्षित फिल्म पहाड नयाँ वर्ष २०८३ को पहिलो दिनदेखि देशभर प्रदर्शनमा आएको छ। करिब एक दशकपछि घिमिरेको ठूलो पर्दामा कमब्याक भएकाले फिल्मप्रति दर्शकको उत्साह उल्लेखनीय देखिएको छ।
फिल्म ‘पहाड’ ले विदेश पलायनले रित्तिँदै गएका पहाडी गाउँ, बेरोजगारी, पानी अभाव र सामाजिक–आर्थिक चुनौतीलाई मार्मिक रूपमा प्रस्तुत गरेको छ। घिमिरेकै कथा, पटकथा र संवाद रहेको फिल्मले ‘घर फर्किनु’ भन्ने भावनात्मक सन्देश पनि दिन्छ। प्रिमियरमा दर्शक तथा कलाकारहरूले यसलाई मौलिक र संवेदनशील फिल्मका रूपमा प्रतिक्रिया दिएका छन्।
दार्जिलिङमा सन् १९५१ मा जन्मिएका घिमिरेले हिन्दी फिल्ममा सम्पादन र सहायक निर्देशनबाट करियर सुरु गरेका थिए। ‘बाँसुरी’ (१९८१) बाट नेपाली निर्देशनमा प्रवेश गरेका उनले कुसुमे रुमाल, लाहुरे, चिनो, देउता, दर्पण छाया जस्ता हिट फिल्म दिएका छन्।
‘दर्पण छाया २’ पछि विश्राममा रहेका उनले ‘पहाड’ मार्फत पुनरागमन गरेका हुन्। फिल्ममा मदनकृष्ण श्रेष्ठ, सुनील थापा, शिव श्रेष्ठ, बिपिन कार्की, प्रियंका कार्की लगायत कलाकार छन् भने उनकी छोरी पञ्चमी घिमिरे पनि देखिएकी छन्।
नेपालमा रिलिजसँगै फिल्म अप्रिल १७ देखि अमेरिका, अस्ट्रेलिया र न्यूजिल्यान्डमा पनि प्रदर्शन हुँदैछ। नयाँ वर्षमा पारिवारिक रूपमा हेर्न योग्य फिल्मका रूपमा ‘पहाड’ प्रतीक्षा गरिएको छ।
काठमाडौंमा जारी नेपाल अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय चलचित्र महोत्सव (निफ) अन्तर्गत आयोजित विशेष सत्रमा रमेश सिप्पी र राजेश हमाल बीच रोचक संवाद भएको छ। पर्यटन बोर्डको हलमा शुक्रबार सम्पन्न कार्यक्रममा सिप्पीले आफ्नो चर्चित फिल्म शोले निर्माण अनुभव साझा गरे।
उनले सलीम–जावेदसँगको सहकार्यलाई फिल्म सफलताको मुख्य आधार माने। सानो अवधारणाबाट विकसित भएको कथालाई वेस्टर्न शैलीबाट प्रेरित गर्दै निर्माण गरिएको उनले बताए। छायांकनका लागि बेंगलुरू नजिकै सेट तयार गर्न करिब ६ महिना लागेको उल्लेख गरे।
सुरूमा ‘शोले’लाई असफल भनिए पनि छैटौं हप्तापछि ठूलो हिट बनेको उनले स्मरण गरे। प्रविधिले कथा र भावनालाई ओझेलमा पार्न नहुने धारणा राख्दै उनले अहिलेका दर्शक झन् सचेत भएको बताए। कार्यक्रम करिब एक घण्टा चलेको थियो।
दीप गुरुङको निर्देशनमा बनेको चलचित्र ‘जुन-किरी’ को फर्स्ट लुक पोस्टर सार्वजनिक गरिएको छ।
वि.सं. २०८३ सालमा प्रदर्शन हुने जानकारीसहित सार्वजनिक पोस्टरमा सुन्दर हिमाली परिवेशसँगै मुख्य कलाकार सुरज तमु र लक्ष्मी गुरुङलाई देखाइएको छ। चलचित्र गुरुङ समुदायको ऐतिहासिक घाँटू परम्परा र संस्कृतिमा आधारित रहने निर्माण पक्षले जनाएको छ।
‘दीप फिल्म्स प्रोडक्सन’को ब्यानरमा निर्माण भइरहेको चलचित्रको छायाङ्कन गोरखाको सिरानचोकस्थित ऐतिहासिक धार्मिक स्थल नाथ मण्डली तथा काठमाडौँका विभिन्न स्थानमा गरिएको छ।
कथाकार भरत राईका अनुसार चलचित्रले काठमाडौँमा संघर्षरत एक फोटोग्राफर र घाँटू नाचसँग जोडिएको उसको यात्रालाई प्रस्तुत गर्नेछ।
चलचित्रमा सुरज तमु, लक्ष्मी गुरुङ, कविता आले, अनिल सुब्बा, डीबी गुरुङ लगायत कलाकारको अभिनय रहेको छ। कथा भरत राई र सुरज तमुको, पटकथा केर डी. कोइँच लिम्बु तथा छायाङ्कन योगेश दाहालको रहेको छ।
निर्देशक दीप गुरुङको यो दोस्रो फिचर फिल्म हो। यसअघि उनले गुरुङ संस्कृतिमै आधारित चलचित्र ‘नैना’ निर्देशन गरिसकेका छन्।

I know her since her childhood &have been seeing her evolving as a singer. I am sure ,one day she will be in the ranks of our somewhere nearer to our own Nepal Kokila,”Tara Devi”. She is a budding talent.

As far as Nikhita’s singing quality is concerned she is a readymade singer not only for Nepal music industry but for entire Nepali music world. She can touch the everest of the Nepali music in the very near future.I hope she will lead this singing generation towards a new destination.My hearty congratulations and wish her for a better future.May her every efforts come out with flying colours.

Nikhita Thapa’s voice quality and her clear diction in pronouncing each and every word in her song is her asset.. this is the uniqueness in her singing which is difficult to find in most singers of today…..
