BHUMYA PARBA – MAGAR CULTURE
Magar communities’ traditional festival Bhumya has been kicked off from Wednesday at Tundikhel Kathmandu. Bhumya festival is starts on first Ashar and celebrates for three days. Eighteen Magar group’s Rokka Magar, Pun Magar, Budha Magar, Gharti Magar etc celebrated this festival with special importance. Bhumya festival is celebrated by worshiping land and nature to protect human being, grains, and live stocks from natural disaster. They sacrifices Ram on Bhumya according to their culture.
