KIRAT COMMUNITY CELEBRATED SAKELA
Kirat communities have celebrated their one of the biggest festival Sakela. Huge numbers of people have gathered at Tundikhel ground of Kathmandu to celebrate Sakela. They celebrate Ubhauli Sakela on Baishakh Purnima. This year Baishakh Purnima was on Baishakh 22nd Friday. Due to various circumstances Kirat community celebrated their Ubhauli Sakela and performed Sakela dance after 9 days on 30th Baishakh. Kirat community celebrates this festival remembering their ancestors, nature wishing for wellness of everyone. Kirat community performs Sakela Sili for one month to celebrate the festival.
