A play MEKHI DANDA is currently playing at the MANDALA THEATER in Thapa Gaun, KATHMANDU.
The play portrays the story of an indigenous community who had to face various repression and trouble because of their mother tongue from the government around hundred and fifty year ago.
The story is taken from KHALING RAI community of Solukhumbu district. Story of the play MEKHIDANDA is written by Gilu Rotas. They play is directed by Anil Subba and produced by Rijan KC.
Artists Pratina Rai, Mani K. Rai, Arun Poudel, Jay Dhakal, Prashansa Gurung, Salina Bhujel, Purna Bahadur Gandarbha, Amar Budhathoki, Ramita Rai, Sanjaya Bishwakarma, Lahana Rai, Janjit Thulung Rai, Ajay Lama, Shayok Mukarung, Ramita Rai, Soujan Limu, Sanjip Yogi Pravin Magar and other artists have worked on the play .
Mandala theater presents play will be on stage until 27th Saun every day at 5:45pm.
