Nepal’s first ever satellite was launched successfully today and NASA have live streamed the launch. Nepali scientist Avash Maskey and Hari Ram Shrestha lead to develop the satellite in assistance of Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) Japan. Nepali satellite weighs about 1.33 kg and its life is three year. First ever Nepali satellite launching will be a milestone in Nepali scientist and technology sector. It sure will encourage and inspire upcoming scientist of Nepal. Nepali satellite will be visible for 5 to 8 minutes every day in Nepali sky. With launch of satellite Nepal will have access to a high speed internet facility. With Nepali satellite Sri Lanka and Japan are also launching their satellites of similar features together. Like Nepal, Sri Lanka is also entering the satellite for the first time.
