JASSU’S ‘KARMA KYA’ BECAME THE BEST

Jassu Gurung directorial film ‘Karma Kya’ (Karma ko Bato) became best at the Indigenous Film Festival. ‘Karma Kya’ won public choice award at the Indigenous Film Festival. Festival was held for three days from 17th of Asar at Nepal Tourism Board. Director Gurung received Award with twenty five thousand cash by the President of Indigenous Film Federation Amrit Bahadur Sunar. Festival was organized by the Federation and other communal organizations. Total eighteen films of Gurung, Magar, Majhi, Newar, Mugal, Limbu, Rai, Rajbanshi, Tharu, Tamang languages were screened at the festival. Winner film ‘Karma Kya’ film is the film based on love story of a boy named Kalse and a girl named Chhara. Nominated films were given five thousand each as an encouragement.
